My Story
I am a Cum Laude graduate of the Crane School of Music with a BM in Music Education/Vocal Concentration. I’ve been working as a professional Music Teacher since 1995 in the district that I grew up in! I have taught High School Chorus/General Music and K-5 General Music in the WNESU.
Presently, I teach at both Central Elementary and Saxtons River Elementary Schools. I incorporate First Steps in Music, Orff Schulwerk (certified Level I and Level II) and Conversational Solfege into my lessons. I also add movement and traditional folk dancing. Third and Fourth Graders learn the recorder and ukulele. I find so much joy teaching at my schools!
I am a singer, but also enjoy playing the guitar, banjo, piano, ukulele, accordion, recorder and flute. Someday I am going to learn how to play my folk harp!
When I am not at school, I enjoy gardening, crafts and taking care of my animals on our mini farm.
